Tom Kranz jumping 4'6" at Erie County Fair. (THis was QUITE a few years ago!)

Tom Kranz taken more recently, showing that he can still "jump"!

Tom Kranz showing the great "China Heart" over a 5'3" triple bar back when Tom was young, clean shaven, and showing regularly. Tom seldom rides anymore, but has benfitted from many years of experience since his showing days. If Tom tells you something about jumping bigger fences, you're hearing it from someone who has done it.

Andrea & Tom planning their strategic moves for the Jumper Class.

Tom doing some chores. He can still wield a mean shovel, if it's not for too long!

Tom in his favorite tractor. He spends a lot of hours tending the farm and sometimes even watching the girls lessons with other instructors from his comfy tractor cab.

Tom and Meghan talking over the day at a creekside bench. They don't have too much quiet time together during the summer!

The picture says it ALL! Meghan holds the POWER, when she holds the chocolate bag during smores night by the camp fire.

Brody being riden by Lillian during his first year at Longacres. Lillian Jacobs has years of experience at Longacres and was twice our head counselor. She returns for the first few weeks in 2008 to help get things off to a good start, along with Mandy.

Sr. Counselor, Lillian Jacobs, again, this time with Meghan on the ground.

Sr, Counselor Lillian

Mandy Bartlett riding Brody during Big Jumping day - -- I think he likes the challenge!!! Mandy has many years of experience at Longacres, as a student, as a counselor, as program director, and last year as senior instructor. She returns for the first month of our 2008 season along with Lillian to help get us off to a good start.

Mandy won the high height Cross Country Event on this day. We're very lucky to have her for part of the 2008 season.

Claire Taylor (alias Claire Sr.) will be our senior counselor for the final ten weeks of our 2008 season after Mandy and Lillian get us opened up and running smoothly. Claire was a Longacres student back in 1998 and went on to show at the highest levels all over the country. She is one of the most knowledgable and experienced advanced riders we've ever had as a counselor at Longacres and we're proud to have her heading up the barn staff this summer.

Junior Counselor Claire Jr. obviously doesn't mind a little work!

Claire Jr. showing one of her favorite ponies at home in California

Claire Jr. showing "One in a Million" at top form at Longacres last summer!

Just like Tom's picture at the top of the album, Claire Jr. here shows there are more ways than one to jump high!

Jenn Levy jumps ShaBang at a Hasty Hills show last summer. Jenn was designated Longacres #1 rider at the end of last season, a high honor. Jenn has much advanced riding knowledge and teaches an interesting lesson. "The Whole Sha-Bang" looking good in a Jumper Class at the Hasty Hills Farm show

Jr. Counselor Jenn with Andrea on her back. Jenn has plenty of fun and spunk in addition to great advanced riding knowledge.

Shelly & Jenna (her private wonderful jumper) relaxing for a moment at a show. Shelly and her family have had their own horses for years and her very extensive knowledge of barn management and horse care make her an invaluable addition to the 2008 staff. Shelly is a juior counselor and has attended Longacres longer than anyone now at Longacres, except for Tom & Meghan. Mandy has more years total but has skipped some years.

Shelly at 3'9" to 4' on Jenna. Her horse shows as "Devil Horns" and is a great jumper. Don't be intimidated by Shelly's great jumping talent - she can be more plain fun and goofy than anyone at Longacres!

Claire Jr (left) and CIT Annie (right). Annie is a valued Counselor in Training (CIT) for the first half of the summer. Annie is also the most prolific writer of emails and "novels" during the off season!
