bridges

This foot bridge is on a neighbors property, built using bar joists - maybe not a bad way to do a span like this?

bridge "A" looking towards the barn across the little creek that needs an all new foot traffic only bridge - perhaps based on bar joists -span is 19 feet

bridge "A" - looking upstream, house to right and barn to left

bridge "A" - looking back across towards house

bridge "B" - looking towards barn across wider creek with very low banks - span is 24 feet - could be less with some abuttment work on each bank - this bridge needs to be seven feet wide and capable of supporting a 3500 pound tractor and horses (about the same weight capacity figuring two horses at once sometimes

bridge "B" - looking back across towards house side

bridge "B" - looking upstream showing contour of wide stream with low banks

bridge "B" - showing typical large bolders in this area - this stream gets very heavy run-off at times

existing foot bridge near old swimming pond. The bridge is fine as is but we will be putting on new railings to match the other new bridges

bridge "C" - looking towards barn this is the existing bridge near the cabins. We want to rebuild it wider (5 feet) and straighten it out and make the bridge deck more nearly level

bridge "C' - looking back towards the dining hall side from the barn side - new bridge will be straight and in line with trail, not turned like this

bridge "C" looking upstream udner bridge (span is 15 feet from solid ground to solid ground on each side - could be 12 feet with some work on abuttment supports - current supports are gross overkill, 11 foot long railroad ties)
